Bridge Connector and PointClickCare Partnership Offers Simplified Integration Solutions for Health and Senior Care Providers
Palm Beach Gardens, FL (June 5, 2018) — Bridge Connector, an integration platform as a service (iPaaS) that delivers streamlined integration solutions for healthcare organizations, today announced a seed investment of $4.5 million, led by Tampa-based emerging-technologies firm Axioma Ventures LLC, backed by Howard Jenkins, former CEO of Publix Super Markets. The financing will be used to continue hiring talented developers and bolster its support, sales, and management teams.
“We are excited to back Bridge Connector, which has created an innovative ‘industry-first’ for healthcare organizations to automatically transfer data between disparate systems," said Howard Jenkins, co-founding partner of Axioma Ventures and former CEO of Publix Super Markets, who has joined Bridge Connector as Chief Strategy Officer and a board member, as part of his company's investment. "It's a great example of thinking outside the box and leveraging the value of existing healthcare systems, rather than being disruptive for the sake of it.”
In addition to Jenkins, the other investors include Alex Jenkins, co-founding partner of Axioma Ventures; Hannibal Baldwin, Chief Financial Officer of Baldwin Beach Capital and Co-CEO of SiteZeus; and Jeffrey S. Wenger, M.D., a board-certified gastroenterologist.
“Despite the global market for healthcare information technology being expected to reach $297 billion by 2022, there previously was no way for healthcare organizations to automatically transfer data between disparate systems, without an IT team,” said David Wenger, CEO and founder of Bridge Connector. “Bridge Connector offers an inexpensive solution to an expensive problem, enabling healthcare organizations to streamline their data flows so they can focus on the treatment of their patients, rather than their data management.”
As part of the investment and to keep up with client demands, Bridge Connector will continue to expand its team throughout the year. Recently, they moved their corporate headquarters in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, to a larger space, and hired Jason Raphael as Vice President of Client Relations, who joins from Accenture. Additionally, they upgraded both their Knoxville and Nashville offices to better accommodate their growing team, which now includes new hires Joshua Douglas as Chief Technology Officer and Andy Harlen as Vice President of Sales.
