“A brand for a company is like a reputation for a person. You earn reputation by trying to do hard things well.” — Jeff Bezos, Founder & CEO of Amazon
Over the past five years, accompanying his grandfather in and out of care settings, Andy Harlen has experienced firsthand how healthcare is broken. Andy’s experience with healthcare tech told him that some of the answers likely existed at the IT level. He knew that disconnected data systems were a pervasive problem and the main culprit why his grandfather had to wait sometimes in excess of 8 hours before he could return to the comfort of his own home from a hospital setting.
As Bridge Connector’s fifth hire, Andy saw a way to expand the company’s unique approach to fix this broken system. His role has evolved as the company has grown, currently serving as Chief Growth Officer, leading the charge to cultivate and grow relationships with strategic partners — to create a healthcare ecosystem where information flows freely and the patient experience is improved.
Andy has a successful track record of scaling SaaS-based companies, having experience in the insurance, financial and healthcare technology industries. In his current role with Bridge Connector, Andy is responsible for strategic corporate business development, strategic vendor partnerships, and R&D efforts, solidifying net-new industry subvertical opportunities for the organization.
Previously, Andy worked at Virsys12, an award-winning Salesforce Gold Consulting Partner focused on healthcare innovation nationwide. During his tenure there, the company won the 2017 Salesforce Partner Innovation Award in the “Healthcare and Life Sciences” category. He also has held positions at fast-growing SaaS-based startups, including PlayMaker CRM, Shareholder InSite (acquired by Ipreo), and Bernard Health.
Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, being outdoors, cooking, fly fishing, live music, and hanging out with his dog, Lola.
