Healthcare-Technology Startup, Bridge Connector, Announces Michele Oglesby as Chief Compliance Officer, Expands Leadership Team in Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN (December 10, 2018) — Healthcare-technology startup Bridge Connector, which delivers streamlined integration solutions for healthcare organizations, today announced Michele Oglesby as their Chief Compliance Officer. Based in the company’s Nashville office, she works alongside Chief Operating Officer Judson Lathe, Chief Technology Officer Joshua Douglas, and Chief Revenue Officer Andy Harlen, and will report to Chief Executive Officer and founder, David Wenger.

“Since launching Bridge Connector last year and recently closing our Series A funding to bring our total funding to $10 million, our rapid growth has enabled us to expand our leadership team in Nashville with best-in-class talent that will help take our company to the next level,” said Wenger. “With a successful decades-long career managing both start-ups and more established companies, Michele offers unparalleled expertise in organizational growth. Plus, her deep passion for various nonprofits in the local Nashville community is just the type of person we want on our leadership team.”

Prior to Bridge Connector, Oglesby was the Division Vice President of Operations for Envision Healthcare, a leading provider of physician-led and ambulatory-surgery services. With a proven track record in driving profitability and growth, her previous employment includes senior-level leadership in planning and development at Baptist Hospital and Lourdes Hospital (formerly Catholic Health Partners), and more than a decade at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she served as Chief Business Development Officer for the Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute.

Currently, Oglesby devotes her time to the Junior League of Nashville, where she has formerly served as President and Board Member. For the past two years, she has served as a Board Member for the Ohio Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (OAASC), which promotes high standards of professional conduct among organizations providing ambulatory surgical care. Throughout her tenure on the board, she leveraged her position to influence legislative agendas that would improve statewide healthcare and community healthcare.

Bridge Connector’s latest hire comes on the heels of recently completing their $5.5 million Series A round, bringing the company’s total investment to $10 million in funding, led by Tampa-based, emerging-technologies firm Axioma Ventures LLC, backed by Howard Jenkins, former CEO of Publix Super Markets. Throughout 2019, the financing will be used to continue hiring talented executives and bolster its product innovation, sales, and management teams.
