She brings to her role over a decade of specialized experience in performance management, compensation, total rewards, employee relations, leadership development, and talent acquisition and retention.
She most recently served as Vice President of People Operations at Fearless, the full stack software development firm in Baltimore. Grounded in coaching techniques and continuous feedback, she also implemented a performance management program that supported employees and created an environment for them to do their best work. Prior, Kate was Associate Vice President, Human Resources, at ChanceLight Behavioral Health, a leading provider of behavioral health, therapy and education solutions for children and young adults in 20 states, where she led their healthcare division’s HR initiatives. These included developing competitive compensation models, organizational design to support recommended and quality healthcare services, directing policies and procedures to support compliance with governmental regulations, and leadership development.
Kate received her Bachelor of Science in education from Catawba College in North Carolina and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland. After a year of teaching, she began her career in HR for a hospital system and has worked in HR ever since, becoming a SHRM Senior Certified Professional in 2018. In her free time, Kate enjoys exercising on her Peloton bike, trying out new brunch locations with her friends, and spending time with her loved ones, including her dog, Oliver.
