Maria Baker is a Solutions Engineer with Bridge Connector and has worked in healthcare integration for almost 20 years, implementing, supporting, managing teams, and selling integrations. She has worked in the hospital setting, as well as for popular inpatient and outpatient EHRs.

Most recently, Maria was at MEDHOST, working as an Interface Analyst, Team Lead and then Interface Services Manager, Manager, where she was accountable for her team meeting stated revenue targets, helping customers work through escalated issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Prior, Maria’s role as both Information Systems Analyst and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) Manager at Thorek Memorial Hospital enabled her to be a consumer of the healthcare technology that she previously implemented and supported at MEDITECH, her first position in health IT, as an Application Specialist. At Thorek, she also had the opportunity to lead the conversion, implementation, and training of the departments when the hospital converted from using film to PACS in their radiology department. Being part of that effort gave her a deep understanding of the challenges, but desperate need, to go from paper to electronic medical records, as well as the necessity to integrate the different systems to enable providers to provide optimal and efficient patient care.

Maria received her Bachelor of Arts in computer science from Boston University. She moved to America when she was seven years old and learned English by watching cartoons like Voltron, Thundercats, She-Ra, as well as the classics, Sesame Street and Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. Since then, Maria has lived all around the U.S., including in New York, Chicago, Seattle, and now, Boston, where she and her husband live with their two boys … and a recent new addition with a puppy named Ruby.
