Matt Wimberley serves Bridge Connector as Vice President, Product, with extensive health care experience that has benefited organizations ranging from health systems to payers, and from industry associations to health IT software vendors. He has leveraged his expertise with software implementation, revenue cycle management, data analytics and regulatory compliance, to deliver increased revenue, productivity, and the creation of intellectual property for health care organizations. Matt is also a licensed attorney and an award-winning author on “meaningful use.”
Most recently, Matt served as Director of Healthcare Analytics for VillageMD, the leading provider of primary care management services, where he led corporate administrative and clinical data acquisition strategy to drive a high-value clinical model. Prior, he was also a product manager at Sandlot Solutions, where he designed and led the development of various reporting and analytics dashboards, including hospital readmissions reductions, health information exchange (HIE) operations, and population health management. Matt was also a strategic advisor at Santa Rosa Consulting, where he assisted hospital associations with their data strategy, HIPAA assessments, and served as revenue cycle director for several years for an integrated health care delivery system. Prior to this, he oversaw six “big bang” hospital software installations at hospitals nationwide, designing workflow processes and managing support queues for over 500 clients.
Matt received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Auburn University, and a Juris Doctor with cum laude honors from the University of Alabama School of Law. He has deep technical expertise with Allscripts, Athenahealth, Cerner, and Epic EHRs, including holding various levels of certifications with each throughout his career. When not at the office, he enjoys traveling, competitive racing, sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.
