Monica Maloney is Associate Vice President, Compliance and Contracting, for Bridge Connector. With professional experience in healthcare and technology, and at government agencies, Monica now leads the contracting team at Bridge Connector, overseeing the life cycle of contracts and ensuring that Bridge Connector is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. She is an attorney who is licensed to practice law in New York, Massachusetts, and Tennessee.
Most recently, Monica was Director of Operations for a Nashville-based behavioral health company, where she was the profit and loss owner for their Texas operations and led in the company’s acquisition of a behavioral health company located there. She ensured that various departments, particularly the billing team, were aligned and able to meet revenue target numbers by supporting robust growth, such as the expansion she helped drive into different markets. As the contract owner and chief liaison between the behavioral health company and managed care organizations (MCOs), she led an internal team cross-functionally to ensure delivery against contracts. Monica oversaw several key initiatives in this role, including redesigning the referral process, making technology improvements, and credentialing physicians across all MCO panels. Prior, Monica was a Client Account Manager for Quovant, an analytics software company that delivers solutions to manage legal spend. She managed Fortune 100 and 500 accounts in healthcare and other industries, working with legal professionals, risk managers, and corporate executives to develop Outside Counsel Billing Guidelines to cut down on legal costs and drive revenue. Based on reporting trends, she recommended areas of savings for clients, and she also managed end-to-end functions for specific clients to ensure contract adherence.
Monica received her Bachelor of Arts from Richmond University in French and political science, followed by her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University, where she graduated with honors. She studied abroad for three different semesters, twice in France during her undergraduate work, and during law school at Lund University in Sweden. She also held a legal clerkship in Belgium. Away from work, she still enjoys traveling whenever she can, along with cooking, pottery, and spending time with her labradoodle named Oliver.
